ABOUT US
The Kansas Pond Society provides a service to its members by educating them in the care and building of water gardens. It also promotes fellowship among people of similar interest. We also provide our members access to local suppliers. The Kansas Pond Society Water Garden Tour invites the public to see what our hobby is about and educates them in the wide variety of sizes, shapes, themes, and landscaping choices that are available when building a water feature. We are the only club of this type in the Wichita area, and we are also the largest gardening club in the same area. We are active members of the Wichita Area Garden Council, an organization comprised of various garden clubs, and which promotes all forms of gardening. We communicate and share information with other water garden clubs in central United States. Most of our membership is from the Wichita metropolitan area, but we do have members across the state.
We are administered by elected officers who serve two-year terms. The offices are: President, Vic-President, Secretary, and Treasurer with two at-large board members.
Membership is $20.00 per year per household, starting January 1 and ending December 31 of that year. We do publish a short monthly newsletter with information about the club and tips on watergardening in central Kansas. If you want a mailed hard copy of the newsletter, there will be an additional $5 charge to your membership fee. With your membership, several of our commercial members grant various discounts , all of which are published in our monthly newsletter.
Feel free to stop in at one of our monthly meetings and join us, or complete and mail the form below with a check to :
